Sexually-violent predator on the loose

A sexually-violent predator has walked away from a supervised living center in Northeast Austin. He has been convicted of sex crimes against a minor and an adult.

According to DPS, 57-year-old Fernando Thompson cut off his GPS monitor Tuesday morning after signing out for work.

Thompson is possibly driving a silver 1997 Chevrolet Lumina pictured with Texas plates GCL5976.
