SFPD looking for man who slammed puppy into floor, killing it

San Francisco Police are looking for a man they say killed a puppy in a violent attack.

Surveillance video shows the man grabbing a four-month old Cocker Spaniel "Prince" and slamming the puppy into the floor, killing him.

Police say the incident started as an argument between a couple inside a convenience store on Turk Street on April 14, 2018.

Police say the man threw canned goods at the woman and then grabbed her puppy from the arms of another person and forcefully slammed it into the floor. Officers transported the victim and puppy to San Francisco Animal Care and Control for treatment. Unfortunately, Prince did not survive his injuries.

The suspect, Delos Pierre Gallon, 23, of San Francisco, is wanted on domestic violence, kidnapping and felony animal cruelty charges.  He has a prior arrest for firearms violations and should be considered dangerous.

Anyone with information on this incident should contact investigators via the SFPD 24 hour tip line at (415) 575-4444, or Text a Tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with SFPD. You may remain anonymous.
