Stabbing in Burnet leaves one in hospital and another arrested

 The City of Burnet released the following press release...

On Monday the Burnet Police Department responded to a report of a man being stabbed at the Whataburger Restaurant on East Polk in Burnet. Police arrived on scene within minutes and located the male victim a lying in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store, adjacent to the Whataburger Restaurant. Police received information that the suspect was inside the Whataburger Restaurant. At that time, the suspect, Quinton Bailey of Granite Shoals, 29, was located and detained for questioning.

The victim, Keith Grady of Burnet, 35, was transported by Burnet EMS to an Austin area hospital. Grady was stabbed multiple times in his upper body by a large knife that was located at the scene where Bailey was found.

Bailey was subsequently arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and has been booked into the Burnet County Jail.

While interviews of the suspect and victim have been completed, along with statements from witnesses, the incident is still under investigation as Police determine the sequence of events.

The Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Burnet County Sheriff's Department, Burnet Constable Precinct 1 and 2, and the Texas Rangers. Police feel that this was an isolated incident and the public was not in danger.
