It's here! Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte returns for 2025

Starbucks fans, rejoice: the Pumpkin Spice Latte is returning.

Here’s what you need to know about the fall menu that is back at Starbucks coffeehouses.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte returns

Starting Tuesday, August 26, the beverage that ignited a global cultural phenomenon, known as the PSL, is back, along with the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai.

According to the global coffee chain, each of these fan-favorite beverages are made with real pumpkin that is grown on a farm in Walla Walla Valley, a half-day’s drive from Seattle.

New items on Starbucks fall menu

New this year is the Pecan Oatmilk Cortado, which combines three shots of Starbucks Blonde Espresso with notes of pecan, rich brown butter, holiday baking spices and steamed oatmilk, topped with a sprinkle of pecan crunch topping and served hot in an 8-ounce cup.

What they're saying:

"The saltiness and browned notes of caramel combined with the toasted pecan flavors are the perfect complement to the Cortado’s bold espresso base," said Patrick Penny, lead beverage developer for Starbucks. "When paired with creamy oatmilk, the pecan balances the strong, rich flavor notes of Starbucks Blonde Espresso."

Following its debut on the Starbucks menu last fall, the Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte also returns, including an iced version with a layer of vanilla sweet cream cold foam.

Available for a limited time this fall is the new Italian Sausage Egg Bites, featuring crumbled Italian sausage, sundried tomato pesto, basil and Monterey jack cheese, folded into cage-free eggs and cooked using the French "sous vide" technique. The popular Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin and Raccoon Cake Pop also return.

PSL launches in 2003

The backstory:

The Pumpkin Spice Latte is Starbucks’ most popular seasonal beverage, with hundreds of millions sold since the espresso drink's 2003 launch. It’s also produced a host of imitations. Dunkin’ introduced pumpkin-flavored drinks in 2007. McDonald’s introduced a pumpkin spice latte in 2013.
