Storms cause some damage & power outages
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Storms swept through Central Texas causing some damage and power outages.
The strong winds and rain were coupled with lightning which is believed to have struck a tree in the area of Copperbend Boulevard near Nuckols Crossing. The tree damaged a homeowner's roof and window and also fell through the neighbor's roof.
No one was hurt.
About 1,100 people also lost power. Austin Energy has restored services to most of those customers.
