Surveillance video shows porch pirate suspect steals elf statue from South Tampa home
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Tampa police are searching for a porch pirate suspect who stole a Christmas elf statue.
The theft took place on November 28 at a South Tampa home, and police said the crime was captured on home surveillance video, which the agency released Monday. The suspect appears to be a teenager or young man wearing a hoodie.
The suspect is seen walking onto the porch, which is decorated with Christmas lights and other festive designs, including a Christmas elf. Police said he walks “softly” to avoid making any noise, and grabs the decorative elf statue and walks away from the home.
