Suspect charged for kidnapping caught in door bell video

The Manor Police Department has arrested a suspect and charged him with kidnapping, a third degree felony. 20-year-old Victor Kouchich of Manor was arrested and charged with the kidnapping that was captured in a door bell video and shared on Facebook by police. 

"Through other information we received, calls through other avenues, we were able to determine that an offense did occur and detectives were able to get an arrest warrant for kidnapping," said Sgt. Lawrence Rideau, Manor Police Department.

According to police, they were informed of an incident that was captured on a door bell camera video in the 19200 block of Nathan Scott Way on Tuesday, June 18 at around 9:25 p.m. In the video, audio can be heard with a woman saying, "stop please no no no" and the man asking her to, "get in the car."

Police were concerned for the woman's safety and asked the public for help.

Around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, a 23-year-old white female called the Manor Police Department to identify herself as the woman in the video. Police were able to identify the male suspect in the video as her 20-year-old boyfriend Victor Kouchich. 

Kouchich was arrested and charged with kidnapping, a third degree felony. 

He was transported and booked into the Travis County Jail.
