Suspect throws lit firework into homeless camp
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - The Austin Fire Department is investigating after a lit firework was thrown into a homeless camp in North Austin. The firework lit grass and a homeless couple's tent on fire.
According to AFD, an unknown suspect threw a lit firework from a moving car at the intersection of Airport Boulevard and North I-35, specifically the off-ramp from North I-35 to Airport Blvd, around 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17. The firework landed on the pavement.
