SWAT standoff ends with man taken into custody
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - A SWAT standoff ends with a man in police custody.
It started last night just before 9 p.m. at the Extended Stay Hotels on 183 near SH 45.
The Austin Police Department says a man was armed and threatened to kill himself inside one of the rooms.
Nearby rooms were evacuated and the rest of the hotel was told to shelter in place.
Officials say after more than four hours the man surrendered to police.
