Teacher gets short haircut to match bullied Kindergarten student
WILLIS, TEXAS. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Willis Independent School District posted a touching story on Facebook about a teacher who became a bullied girl's hero.
The post said that Kindergarten student Prisilla Perez was a happy girl when the school year began, but after getting her hair cut short, she was quiet and sad. Her teacher, Shannon Grimm, noticed that Prisilla was actually being bullied about her short hair.
So, Shannon took action and decided to cut her own hair short to match Prisilla. The school district says that Shannon even buys matching bows for her and Prisilla to wear everyday.
Shannon also reportedly nominated Prisilla for district student of the month for her bravery. Prisilla was honored with a medal at a school board meeting. However, in a surprise twist, the school district said that Prisilla actualy presented her teacher with a medal for her being her hero.
