Texas State San Marcos Hall evacuated, major water leak

UPDATE: All students impacted by the water leak in the San Marcos Hall incident last night are able to go back into their rooms. 

Texas State has confirmed that only students on the third floor were impacted by the leak and that cleanup began immediately. 

The University is helping those students still affected by the water leak. 


The San Marcos Hall on the Texas State San Marcos Campus has been evacuated due to a major water leak. 

According to officials, a failed water sprinkler system has caused an evacuation of the hall. 

University staff are assisting students and working to resolve the issue.
