Tickets on sale for Flood Aid TX concert benefiting flood victims

Tickets have gone on sale online for the all-day June 28th benefit concert that will be held at the Palmer Events Center. All proceeds will support the United Way of Hays County Flood Relief Fund and the Austin Disaster Relief Network.

Ticket prices are $35 for individual tickets, $100 for a family pack of four and $150 or a VIP ticket. There will be four stages, two indoor and two outdoor, featuring several local artists including Asleep at the Wheel lead singer Ray Benson and Jack Ingram. Outdoor performances will conclude at 7 p.m. as Benson and Ingram lead an all-star jam.

The producer of the event, Clayton Corn, says the response from the Austin music scene is exactly what one would expect with multiple musicians stepping forward to volunteer their time and talents. "There's literally going to be something everyone, touching on all genres of music," Corn says.

The concert is hosted by Benson, the City of Austin, Travis County and the LCRA in partnership with the Texas Music Office.

A news conference was held at Austin City Hall on June 9 to officially announce the concert and its headliners.
