Two hospitalized after southeast Austin house fire

Two people were hospitalized after a house fire in southwest Austin. It happened in the 7000 block of Twisted Oaks near the intersection of West Gate Boulevard and West William Cannon Drive.

Investigators say the fire was accidental. The estimated cost of the damage is $300,000.

First responders took one resident to the hospital and another person was taken to the hospital by family members. 

Three cats and a dog did not make it out of the house.

Officials say the family will be put in touch with the Red Cross to get assistance.
