Two men accused of assaulting New Braunfels ride share driver

Two men have been arrested and are accused of assaulting a New Braunfels ride share driver.

New Braunfels police say on August 1st officers were called to the 400 block of Landa Street at around 10 p.m. for a report of a robbery.

The victim, a 26-year-old ride share driver, said that two men had ordered a ride and entered the car when he arrived at their location in the 700 block of Bell Street.

Once inside the car, the victim says both men showed handguns and demanded cash from the driver. The men then assaulted the driver by hitting him in the head.

Police say the men took an undisclosed amount of cash from the driver before leaving on foot.

The driver was not seriously hurt.

Officers were able to track down the suspects to an apartment in the 700 block of Howard Street where they two were taken into custody. Following the arrest, a search of the apartment led to discovery of prescription medication, which the two didn't have a prescription for, and about a half a pound of marijuana.

The suspects have been identified as 20-year-old Zion Jacob Limon and 18-year-old Joshua Elijah Limon. Both have been charged with aggravated robbery, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
