Two students arrested at school for assault and terroristic threat
KATY (FOX 26) - Katy ISD confirms that two students from McDonald Junior High School were arrested at school Tuesday.
One student was charged with assault of a public servant, the other for an alleged terroristic threat against a school district employee.
FOX 26 spoke with the mother of the student charged with assault.
She says her son had taken video of a student being beaten up as part of a gang initiation at the school.
When a teacher discovered the video, Kennie Solano says the teacher snatched the phone away from him.
Then her son allegedly got into a physical altercation trying to get his phone back.
Solano said her son already served a 3-day suspension for taking video of the bathroom brawl.
Katy ISD has not given any more details about the student arrested for terroristic threat, but released the following statement:
