Waco woman hit by car and thrown off overpass with her baby

A Waco woman was hit by a car and thrown off an overpass with her baby in her arms.

Miraculously, the baby only suffered a scratch. The mother, Jennifer Duncan, did not fare so well.

A portion of Duncan's left leg was severed, her pelvis was broken and she endured internal injuries.

Police say Duncan was involved in a minor accident on I-35 last Monday. She got her son out of the car. While she was waiting for first responders, a vehicle struck a car next to her launching she and her son as well as another woman over the railing.

They fell 30 feet onto the street below.

"We all say there is nothing we wouldn't do to protect her children and on that day Jjennifer was put the circumstance in which she had to prove it. Daniel's doing great he's happy and playful and it truly is a miracle and Jjennifer is a remarkable young lady," said Attorney Daniel Stark.
