Water rescue in southeast Travis County

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas - Overnight storms led to a water rescue in southeastern Travis County.

Austin-Travis County EMS says that two adults were fishing on an island when the rain hit. 

Water quickly surrounded the two and left them with no way out.

Rescue crews launched boats into the water and they were able to get to the two adults and bring them to safety. 

Officials say the two were evaluated by medics who say it doesn't appear either one suffered any major injuries.
