What tonight's election results could mean for Republicans in November

Voters in Ohio’s 12th congressional district went to the polls Tuesday for a special election.

It's a district President Trump won in 2016.

But, Republicans were left scrambling to maintain a hold on it this year.

So far, Democratic candidate Danny O'connor is coming in with 49.3 percent of the vote Tuesday tonight.

His republican opponent, Troy Balderson is leading the race with 50.1-percent of the vote.
It's neck and neck.

FOX-7 Austin’s Mike Warren and Rebecca Thomas talked to James Dickey, chairman of the Texas Republican Party about Ohio’s special election and what it could mean for the Republican Party.
