Woman arrested after body found in South Austin recycling plant

A woman is behind bars charged with murder after a man's body was found in a South Austin recycling plant.

The Travis County Sheriff's Office says a tip from the public led to the arrest of 52-year-old Leigh Bohart.

Investigators say Bohart beat 49-year-old Clarence Gardner Jr. with a rock.

She put his body and the rock in a recycling bin Downtown.

Two days ago workers discovered his body on the conveyor belt at the recycling center on near Creedmoor.

Authorities say both Bohart and Gardner stayed in the Downtown Austin area and were transients.

Bohart is charged with murder and tampering with evidence.

No word yet on a motive.

She's jailed on a $150,000 bond.
