Woman arrested for allegedly attacking McDonald's manager over ketchup, police say
SANTA ANA, Calif. (FOX 11) - A woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly assaulting a McDonald's manager last month in Santa Ana in which the incident was captured on security video, police said.
Mayra Berenice Gallo, 24, was taken into custody at her residence, according to the Santa Ana Police Department. The assault was reported around 11 p.m. on Oct. 27 at a McDonald's in the 1400 block of N. Bristol Street.
The female suspect ordered food through the drive-thru and then entered the restaurant through a back door used by employees to ask for ketchup, Santa Ana police said.
When she was told by the store manager that she couldn't be inside the restaurant, she "became combative," according to police.
Police said she "pushed, punched and choked" the employee.
The police department released surveillance footage showing the suspect in gray pants and a pink shirt shoving an employee in a blue shirt. Another employee is seen attempting to intervene.
Gallo was booked into Santa Ana police jail on an assault warrant.
