Woman’s intoxication manslaughter charges in deadly crash dismissed

30-year-old Amanda Overman has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after a crash that killed 28-year-old Risean Deontay Lee Green.

Austin police say Overman was driving westbound in the 1100 block of East Ben White Boulevard on November 24 at around 7:15 p.m.m when she lost control of her car and struck the center median. 

Overman's car went back in to the roadway and hit Green and the motorcycle he was riding.

Police say Overman pulled in to a nearby shopping center where officers conducted a DWI investigation that indicated Overman was intoxicated.

Green was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. He died at the hospital just before 7:45 p.m.
