Woman hit, killed by car along I-35
Austin Travis County EMS says a 30-year-old woman is dead after she was hit and killed by a car along I-35. It happened in the southbound lanes near Wells Branch Parkway around 4:30 a.m.
The investigation shut down the southbound lanes. While traffic was diverted to the frontage road it created delays for drivers. The Travis County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash. Austin Police were also on the scene to assist.
The cause is still under investigation.
