Justin Verlander gets extension from the Astros

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Seven-time All-Star pitcher Justin Verlander has reached an agreement with the Astros on a two-year contract extension worth $66 million, according to MLB sources.
Verlander, who was 16-9 with a 2.52 ERA last season, was heading into the final year of his contract.
This extension ties him to the Astros through 2021.
