SPIN Austin hosting special Leap Day event for its House Party Saturdays
AUSTIN, Texas - It's customary in Ireland for women to ask men to marry them on Leap Day so in honor of that, SPIN Austin is hosting a Sadie Hawkins inspired party on February 29 as part of its House Party Saturdays and there'll be a few special things going on.
Ballet Austin's Butler Center for Dance and Fitness will have instructor Dereke Thompson teaching a free partnered hip hop class beginning at 8:30 p.m. FOX 7 Austin's Jacqueline Sarkissian got a preview of what people can expect.
Leap Day celebration at SPIN Austin
In Ireland the old traditional roles are reversed with women proposing to men and Austin's most popular ping pong destination is honoring that at its Saturday Night House Party. FOX 7 Austin's Jacqueline Sarkissian has details.
There's no cover to attend and you can participate in the dance class for free. Food, beverage and ping pong tables are available for purchase.
