12-year-old missing in Georgetown found safe
*UPDATE* 10/13 The Georgetown Police Department says that Conner Tart-Hisaw has been found and is safe.
Police say they received a call from a Georgetown resident who said that Conner had spent the night at her house with her son. She said she wasn't aware Conner was reported missing until she heard about this morning. She immediately called police.
The family lives about 1.3 miles from Benold Middle School where Conner had been last seen.
Conner's family has been notified and he's expected to reunite with them shortly.
The Georgetown Police Department says it is searching for a missing 12-year-old. Conner Tart-Hisaw did not return home after school from Benold Middle School on October 12th.
Conner is described as 5'2", blond hair, blue eyes and 85 lbs. He was last seen wearing blue shorts, a plaid shirt, blue Under Armour tennis shoes and carrying a black backpack.
Video surveillance from the school showed Conner leaving the school at 4 p.m. and walking toward Northwest Boulevard.
Information obtained from family members does not lead police to believe Conner is in danger or was abducted. An Amber Alert has not been issued, as the situation does not meet the required protocol.
