14-year-old from Georgetown found safe

UPDATE: Josie Gowens was found safe and has been reunited with family, according to police.

The Georgetown Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a runaway. 14-year-old Josie Gowens was last seen on Tuesday, September 25 when she was dropped off at school. 

Josie did not report to her classes that day. 

According to the police, Josie was last seen wearing a black hoodie with "CC" on the front left, light blue jeans with torn fabric, and black tennis shoes. She also had a blue backpack with her. 

Social media indicates Josie is possibly in the Austin area with other teenagers.
