ACL Fest kicks off with several changes

This year expect to see a lot more shady areas to cool off in and a family entrance just to name a few of the changes.

The "Rock Island” stage, for example, has been relocated to better crowd flow and new areas have been opened for folks to relax and find more shade. Austin Kiddie Limits has a new location many moms and dads will be happy to hear about.

To put parents at ease, they will continue their "Tag A Kid" registration for families who wish to keep a traceable bracelet on their child just in case.

If you're grabbing a bite at ACL Eats, you can grab a cold drink nearby at the expanded Barton Springs Beer Hall too which also has some added shade and tables.
There are lots of new additions but the biggest new announcement this year is the public toilets.

"The new restrooms that we have on site are flushable and more eco-friendly so we're excited about even the restroom upgrades. Additionally, we've moved the Austin Kiddie limits area down to the South end of the park. They're now in a gorgeous, shaded area with lots of trees. And, with that new location, we were able to add a fast, quick family entrance - where families can come into the park a little more easily right off Barton Springs Road," said Brooke Leal, ACL spokesperson.

Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar, and Major Lazer are just some of the headliners. Be sure to book a rideshare company or take the shuttle. There is no parking on festival grounds.
