APD searches for bank robbery suspect
The Austin Police Department is searching for a suspect in a bank robbery. On Wednesday, Aug. 31, a suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 501 South Congress Ave. and demanded money from the teller.
This happened just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday. The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported.
Suspect Description:
- Black Male in his late 20s
- White or grey t-shirt
- Red hat
- Black and white checkered shirt over his head
This case remains under investigation by APD Robbery detectives.
