APD searching for suspect in first bank robbery of 2020
Bank robbery suspect (Austin Police)
AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department's Robbery Unit is working with the FBI Central Texas Violent Crimes Task Force on a robbery that occured at a Chase Bank on 5700 West Slaughter Lane in South Austin on Saturday, January 4.

Police received a call from the bank around 1:45 p.m., about a man who brandished a handgun and demanded money from a teller.
The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money before he exited the bank and rode off on a pedal bicycle. Police believe he headed West on Slaughter Lane away from the bank.

- 5'09" - 5' 11"
- Last seen wearing motor cross full-face helmet, goggles, dark sweatshirt, black/gray gloves and dark pants.
The bank robbery was the first of 2020. There were no injuries during the incident
