Annual Austin Empty Bowl Project | November 24

It's the Sunday before Thanksgiving, which means its time for the annual Austin Empty Bowl Project. This family-friendly event invites the community to help fight hunger by donating $25 to select a locally handcrafted ceramic bowl and enjoy some gourmet soup and live music. Last year the event helped raise over $116,000 for those in our community going hungry. You can also meet some of your favorite local personalities, as FOX 7 will be there to help greet and serve those coming to enjoy some soup! "Your $25 donation goes to Kids Cafe, a program of the Central Texas Food Bank, and Meals for Kids, a program of Meals on Wheels Central Texas. Take the bowl home with you to remind you that others have empty bowls," the official empty Bowl Project website states. The event will run from 11 AM to 3 PM on Sunday, come help the community while having fun.
