Austin Disaster Relief Network helping Hurricane Matthew victims

Victims of Hurricane Matthew are still reeling from the damage the storm has left behind and now the Austin Disaster Relief Network is Central Texans to lend a helping hand as it collects items for the those affected in Florida.

ADRN says Autintines know very well what it's like to lose everything in a flood and the emotional, spiritual and physical impact of disasters.

The non profit is made up of more than 170 churches in Austin. It's partnering with Tito's Vodka and C3 Presents to load an 18 wheeler with clean up supplies and toiletries to hurricane survivors in St. Augustine in Florida.

Here are some of the items ADRN is requesting:

  • New underwear
  • New socks
  • Toiletries
  • Bedding (pillows, blankets)
  • Cleanup supplies (trash bags, mops, buckets)
  • Inflatable mattresses
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Box fans

You can drop off donations at the Hope Family Thrift Store on East 51st Street any day through Saturday (10/15) between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
