Austin police seeking help in fatal drive-by shooting at hookah lounge

The Austin Police Department is searching for those responsible for a fatal drive-by shooting that happened in September 2018. 

18-year-old Luis Alberto Rodriguez Tamayo was killed in the shooting that happened at the Paris Hookah Lounge in the 1900 block of Rutland Drive, near Metric Boulevard. Two others were injured, according to Austin police. 

Police say Tamayo was sitting at a table inside with friends when a bullet hit him in the head on Sept. 23, 2018. He was later prounounced deceased at Dell Seton Medical Center. Two others who were sturck by gunfire had non-life threatening injuries. 

At the time, police said no motive for the shooting had been established. They are still seraching for the suspect or suspects responsible and a $1,000 reward if being offered for information that leads to the arrest.
