Body recovered after swimmer went under at Pace Bend Park

AUSTIN, Texas - The body of a missing swimmer has been recovered following a search at Pace Bend Park Saturday afternoon.
ATCEMS said the water rescue call came in at 1:16 p.m. for initial reports of an adult swimmer, a man in his 20s, that went underwater and did not resurface in Thurman Cove on Lake Travis.
The rescue turned into a recovery 40 minutes later.
Lake patrol and Travis County dive teams were on scene searching for the man for nearly five hours. The body was recovered around 6 p.m.
According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office, the medical examiner will confirm the man's identity.
