Car slams into San Francisco fire hydrant

SAN FRANCISCO - A car slammed into a fire hydrant in San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon, sending a huge burst of water into the air.

The gushing water caused a scene on the Embarcadero at Mission Street.

Spectators watched as the water poured onto the sidewalk and street, slowing down traffic.

There’s still no word from police on how it happened or if anyone was hurt.
