Deputy struck by car while checking on crash
The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office says a deputy was struck by a car while checking on a crash on his way to work.
According to the sheriff's office, Deputy T. James stopped to check on the crash on US 59 in Wharton County and was struck by the car.
The deputy was taken to the hospital with a minor shoulder injury.
