DPS increase reward up to $8,000 for Texas Top 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender
AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has increased the reward to $8,000 for any information leading up to the arrest of 47-year-old Manuel Muniz, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender and this month’s featured fugitive.
Muniz has been wanted since February 2017 and has ties to Bosque County, including the communities of Morgan, Walnut Springs and Meridian. He also has ties overseas in Mexico.
According to police Muniz was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Bosque County and was sentenced to 15-years in prison.
He was paroled in Nov. 2016 police said.
Muniz is described by police as being 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing around 235 pounds. He has tattoos of Vietnamese symbols on his right forearm and other tattoos on his upper arms, abdomen, left thigh and finger. He has a distinctive scare on his eyebrow and forehead.
