FEMA to give Travis County more than $1.1 million for Halloween flood damages

FEMA is giving Travis County more than $1.1 million to help pay for damage from the 2013 Halloween floods.

The money will go to road repairs at 7 locations and repairs to the Howard Lane Detention Pond, the Northeast Metro Park storm water outflow and the Gattis School Road Detention Pond, as well as measures to mitigate against future damage.

So far FEMA has paid more than $10.1 million in public assistance funding in relation to the Halloween floods.
