Four killed, one injured in Bastrop car accident

BASTROP, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Four people were killed and one person was injured in a car accident in Bastrop on Friday night, according to the Texas Highway Patrol.
According to police, two cars were involved in a crash on State Highway 21, at Quarter Horse Loop, a little after 9 p.m. When officers arrived on scene, they found four people who were killed in the accident.
One person was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
State Highway 21 has been shut down in both directions and traffic is being diverted onto FM 1441. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and to use alternate routes if possible.
