The battle over North Carolina's "Bathroom Bill" continues. The Justice Department warned Governor Pat McCrory the measure, which requires transgender people to use public bathrooms corresponding to the sex on their birth certificate, is a violation of the Civil Rights Act.
On Monday, McCrory fought back with a lawsuit saying, "The federal government is overstepping its authority." In turn, the Justice Department is now suing North Carolina for civil rights violations.
