FOX 7 Debates: Trump & the G.O.P

The Republican party's top leaders and delegates began crafting the party's platform for the next four years in Cleveland on Monday.

The meetings come one week before the Republican National Convention officially gets underway. That's where the G.O.P. will formally name Donald Trump as its presidential nominee.

Given Trump's controversial stance on a number of policies, Republican leaders are now deciding how to best to embrace their nominee's ideas while at the same time making sure the agenda falls in line with traditional party principles.

Joining FOX 7's Rebecca Thomas to share their thoughts on this are: Executive director of Progress Texas, Ed Espinoza and G.O.P. consultant Matt Mackowiak.
