AUSTIN, Texas - The fate of a former Dallas police officer accused of murder is now in the hands of the jury.

A Dallas County jury is deliberating in the murder trial of Amber Guyger. Last September, Guyger was in her apartment building returning home from a shift when she shot and killed her neighbor Botham Jean.

Guyger says she thought Jean was an intruder in her apartment, but he was actually in his own apartment.
