FOX 7 Discussion: Health care reform

The White House is making it clear that despite setbacks, repealing and replacing Obamacare should be priority but some Republican lawmakers are pushing back.

Next month, the Senate Health Committee will hold a bi-partisan hearing on stabilizing the insurance markets.

A move more welcomed by members on both sides of the aisle.

But, as Congress appears content to let the process play out the President is growing impatient.

In a scathing tweet on Saturday, the President said, "Republicans in the Senate will never win if they don't go to a 51 vote majority now, they look like fools and are just wasting time." It's an attack Senator McConnell brushed off by explaining there is simply no will in the Senate to abandon the 60 vote threshold for most pieces of legislation.

Joining us now to discuss the on-going healthcare debate is U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett.
