FOX 7 Discussion: Need for domestic violence services

It already takes a lot of courage for domestic violence survivors to ask for help, but a new report shows that when they do in Travis County, nearly 75 percent of these survivors are denied shelter due to lack of space.

The report was conducted by the Texas Council on Family Violence, a nonprofit that informs state lawmakers, local leaders and law enforcement about how to better serve victims.

Linda Phan, policy director for the Texas Council on Family Violence, joins Marcel Clarke to discuss the report and the nonprofit's findings.
