Drivers should expect to pay a bit more for gas during the summer months, experts say.

Petroleum analysts expect gas prices across the nation to rise over the next few months as the nation deals with a possible trade war with China and the ongoing situation with Syria.

The analysts expect prices at the pump to be 14 percent higher than last summer.

Prices in Georgia are already at the highest level since July 2015.

According to AAA, the average price for gas in metro Atlanta is $2.64 a gallon.
