Gov. Abbott calls on Texas officers to honor fallen Harris County Deputy

As Harris County continues to mourn the loss of Deputy Darren Goforth, Gov. Greg Abbott is calling on Texas officers to honor the fallen deputy.

Gov. Abbott is asking all law enforcement officers in the state to turn on their red-and-blue flashing lights for one minute at 11AM on Friday.

The minute of honor is to coincide with the beginning of Deputy Goforth's funeral. The deputy was killed last week when he was ambushed by a gunman. Suspect Shannon J. Miles is now charged with capital murder.
