Handbags for Hope Drive

Most women carry purses or handbags and the Texas Advocacy Project is hoping to use the popular accessory to help Central Texas women.

It's teaming up with the Travis County Sheriff's Office to collect new or gently used handbags for the 8th Annual Handbags for Hope Drive.

Volunteers will put information inside each handbag, including resources for domestic violence victims.

The purses will then be delivered to shelters across Texas for Mother's Day.

The drive begins February 25 and runs through April 6th.

You can drop off your new or gently used purses at a number of locations including the Travis County Sheriff's Offices and Silicon Labs.
