Holiday shipping deadlines are upon us

(KMSP) - The holiday shipping deadlines are upon us! The first major deadline is already here.

Thursday, December 14 marks the last day the U.S. Postal Service expects delivery by Christmas Day via retail ground shipping.

But if you're running a little bit behind schedule, there's still time, but you may need to pay extra fees to guarantee your precious packages will arrive in time for Christmas. If you're shipping to places in the contiguous United States, here is the list of upcoming deadlines:

Dec. 14, 2017 - USPS Retail Ground
Dec. 19, 2017 - First Class Mail Service
Dec. 20, 2017 - Priority Mail Service
Dec. 22, 2017 - Priority Mail Express Service
