Inmate found unresponsive at Travis County Correctional Complex

An inmate was found unresponsive in his cell at the Travis County Correctional Complex on Tuesday morning, according to the Travis County Sheriff's Office. 

First responders and Austin-Travis County EMS immediately began CPR when they found 23-year-old Naquan Carter, but he was pronounced dead just before 10:40 a.m.  

As is customary, an investigation is ongoing by the Internal Affairs Unit, the Texas Rangers and the Medical Examiner’s Office. TCSO says initial evidence indicates Carter died of natural causes.
