Los Angeles wildfires: Austin woman donates proceeds to Pasadena Humane Society

As the Los Angeles County community continues to deal with active wildfires, Central Texans are doing what they can to help.

Helping Los Angeles wildfire victims, organizations

The backstory:

Bridget Wolf is a stay at home mom who is giving back to the community one dog treat at a time.

Bridget created WildWolfePack treats back in 2022.  She gives back 50% of the proceeds to a variety of organizations, including, Battle for the Bully, New York Bully Crew, The Animal Pad, Yaqui Animal Rescue, The Long Stay Project and TRAPRS.

Being a mom, she says she didn't really get to devote a lot of time volunteering so she decided why not give some of the proceeds from the treats back to the shelters she would volunteer at.

"There's a lot of people that are willing to donate right away and just spend their money, but there's a lot of people that also want something back. And so, for me to be able to spoil their dogs while also spoiling and supporting the causes that are so near and dear to my heart, it just feels really beautiful," says Bridget Wolf.

Since starting WildWolfePack treats, she's been able to get $6,000 in donations.

After seeing the destruction LA has seen in the past couple of weeks, Bridget decided to give even more.

The 'Spread Love' treats will be giving back 75% of their proceeds to the Pasadena Humane Society.

What they're saying:

"I don't think that there is a timeline that they're going to not need money anymore. So, it's one of those things where, like the organizations that I support, it's a long-term investment. I'm willing to do it for as long as needed. And unfortunately, we live in a society where animals will probably always be in need," says Wolf.

What you can do:

It's going to take a long time for LA to recover from this disaster, Bridget says she will keep this fundraiser up for as long as it needs to be.
