Man dies after July 18 shooting in East Austin
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Officials say that man who was left in critical condition after an East Austin shooting on July 18 has died.
The shooting happened at the Rare Apartments located at 6407 Springdale Road at around 11:16 p.m. on July 18.
Police arrived and found 22-year-old Alexander Morgan Jr. with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Austin police say Morgan was declared brain dead at 1:33 p.m. on July 21 and that the Travis County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Officials say there does not appear to be any threat to the public and detectives continue to investigate.
